Introducing UDiTH Companion: AI that works on your digital twin

With UDiTH Companion, CAXperts brings guided AI directly into the digital twin. Engineers and operators ask questions in plain language – and the Companion works on the open UDiTH model: it finds, highlights, colours, selects and hides objects in 3D, opens and queries P&IDs, adds points of interest, comments and sketches, and turns answers into structured lists and reports.

Guided AI instead of a black box

UDiTH Companion is not a generic chatbot. It is structured in four configurable layers – user interface, settings and workflows, tools, and the AI model – so that every step stays traceable. Contexts and multi-step workflows make recurring engineering tasks repeatable, from navigation and construction status to maintenance support or a centre-of-gravity calculation.

Your AI, your data

UDiTH Companion is included in the UDiTH licence. Customers choose the AI provider and model themselves – for example OpenAI-compatible services, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or models running in their own environment via Ollama, llama.cpp or vLLM – and contract and pay the provider directly. Engineering data does not have to leave the company network. The Companion is available as a hosted service and can also be operated in the customer’s own environment.

Open for your own AI tools

Via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), tools such as VS Code, Claude Desktop or Cursor can work directly on the open UDiTH model. This makes the Companion part of the UDiTH philosophy: modular by design. open by philosophy.
